Top 5 Reasons to Visit Links and Drinks This Summer
Updated: Oct 11
Summer in Wisconsin is all about getting together with friends, enjoying great food and drinks, and finding fun ways to spend your time. At Links and Drinks Indoor Golf & Sports Bar in Oconomowoc, you can do all of that in one comfortable, welcoming place.
Despite the name, you do not have to be a golfer to enjoy Links and Drinks. Some guests come to play a round on our Full Swing golf simulators. Others stop in for a great meal, a cold beer, a handcrafted cocktail, a pour of bourbon, or a comfortable place to watch the game.
Here are the top five reasons to make Links and Drinks part of your summer plans.
1. Escape the Heat, Humidity, and Rain
Wisconsin summer weather can change quickly. Extreme heat, humidity, thunderstorms, and rain can easily disrupt outdoor plans.
At Links and Drinks, the weather is always comfortable. Our climate-controlled indoor space gives you a place to relax, eat, drink, golf, or watch sports without worrying about rain delays, mosquitoes, sunburn, or sweltering temperatures.
Whether you are escaping a heat wave or looking for something to do on a rainy afternoon, Links and Drinks offers a comfortable summer destination in Oconomowoc.
2. You Do Not Have to Golf to Have a Great Time
Links and Drinks is much more than an indoor golf facility. You are always welcome to stop in simply to enjoy the bar, order food, meet friends, or watch a game. There is no requirement to reserve a golf bay or pick up a golf club.
For guests who want to play but are not interested in traditional golf, our Full Swing simulators also offer a variety of games and multisport experiences. Full Swing’s gaming software includes more than 30 experiences and 13 different sports, with options such as baseball, football, hockey, soccer, lacrosse, darts, tic-tac-toe, Connect Fore, and Zombie Dodgeball. Many of the games require no golf experience and include adjustable skill settings that help make them fun for children, beginners, and experienced players alike.
That means golfers and non-golfers can compete, laugh, and enjoy the same bay together. One person can play a golf challenge while someone else tries football, baseball, darts, or a fast-paced family game.
Our relaxed sports-bar atmosphere also makes Links and Drinks a great choice for:
Happy hour with coworkers
Dinner and drinks with friends
Family entertainment
Date night
Watching a baseball game or golf tournament
Meeting before or after another Lake Country activity
Enjoying a casual night out without the crowds of a large venue
Golf is available when you want it, but the Links and Drinks experience is designed for everyone.
3. Great Food, Cold Beer, and Handcrafted Cocktails
A fun summer outing starts with good food and drinks. Links and Drinks offers a menu of satisfying sports-bar favorites that are perfect for sharing with a group or enjoying as a meal. Guests can stop in for appetizers, wings, sandwiches, pizzas, and other favorites while relaxing at the bar, watching sports, or spending time in a golf bay.
Our bar also offers a wide variety of drink options, including:
Domestic and craft beer
Rotating draft selections
Handcrafted cocktails
Classic mixed drinks
Nonalcoholic beverages
Seasonal and promotional drink specials
Whether you are looking for a cold beer after work, cocktails with friends, or food and drinks during a game, you will find plenty to enjoy.
4. Discover a Great Bourbon Selection
Bourbon fans will feel right at home at Links and Drinks. Our bar features a strong selection of bourbons and whiskeys, with options for both casual drinkers and experienced enthusiasts. It is a great place to try something new, enjoy an old favorite, or compare a few different pours with friends.
You do not need to know everything about bourbon to enjoy it. Our team can help you find a pour based on the flavors and styles you already like. Links and Drinks is an excellent place to unwind with a quality bourbon, enjoy good conversation, and discover a bottle you may not have tried before.
5. Bring Everyone Together in One Place
It can be difficult to find a summer activity that everyone in a group will enjoy. Some people want to golf. Others want to eat, have a drink, watch sports, or simply spend time together.
At Links and Drinks, everyone can enjoy the experience in their own way. Golfers can play a round or practice their swing while non-golfers relax nearby with food and drinks. Groups can move between the golf bays, bar, and seating areas without having to split up or choose separate destinations.
Links and Drinks is a great option for:
Birthday parties
Corporate gatherings
Family get-togethers
Bachelor and bachelorette parties
Team-building events
Friends’ nights out
Date nights
Casual summer celebrations
It is an easy, flexible way to bring people together—whether they love golf or have never played before.
